I've recently talked in private to several past and present members of UK-Dance about the its future and a common theme has been Simon's unacceptable behaviour here. |

It seems some youtube vids don't want to embed on UKD. I was trying to get Laurent Garnier's Sound of the Big Babou to embed and it wouldn't do it. |

Difficult to know what to recommend without knowing your patterns of usage but this site worked a treat for the missus and suggested an O2 sim only pack. |

Srsly? The pop menu with the post indicies is broken. You select the sub-page you want, and nothing happens. Chrome if you're wondering. ;pHile |

Neither did I, it's come as quite a shock. ;pHile |

Is the main thing to say, but I just noticed that the view your profile button just seems to go back to the homepage Stephen |

Like that time I sent a full on row with my missus to UKD by mistake? :-/ |

Part of me thinks it's time for something new but I also have an attachment to the old logo. I'll add a poll and see what everyone else thinks. |
Stephen Hebditch | 07 July 2009 13:35 |

It now jumps back to the message in the thread you were replying too once you've sent your message. That's not possible, no. |
Stephen Hebditch | 07 July 2009 13:02 |

That was a bug and it only showed them to logged-on users rather than everyone. It's now been fixed. |

I'll put it on the to-do list – you're not alone in asking for them to be bigger. |
Stephen Hebditch | 07 July 2009 12:59 |

Unfortunately there's not much we can do about that. |
Stephen Hebditch | 07 July 2009 12:57 |

ha ha, what kind of poll is this? summer always does that to me, although i'm not much better in winter either to be fair. |

The reason for there not being one is because it's linked through to e-mail where once a message has been sent it's not possible to change it. |
Stephen Hebditch | 07 July 2009 12:45 |

You mean to be able to see all the individual messages since your last visit? |
Stephen Hebditch | 07 July 2009 12:34 |

Sorry, been a busy start to the week so just catching up on messages... Polls need approval before they go live and I forgot to check for any. There's a couple now gone live. |
Stephen Hebditch | 07 July 2009 12:28 |

On that, tho, nice update. It will be interesting to see if the move from a 2-week archive to a permanent one, plus the addition of storing a draft, will change people's posting habits. |

it's not visible to me. i think it only shows up to yourself kinda thing |
dub kult | 07 July 2009 11:29 |

Not without good reason... the old system, where you clicked on a name above a message, and that linked to their profile, where there was then a link to their email, was possibly a bit better. |

Hmm... thats a good point... prepare to be super-spammed ;-) It'd be a good thing to have an option to hide your email unless you wanna share it... (unless of course if thats a pain to do) |

I never even knew your name was Phil Wilkins! |

...and another thing. The page after posting is the top of the thread? Surely it should be the end, where I've just posted? Can I set the number of posts visible too? ;p |

Also, while the email is removed from the quotes, it's sitting there open complete with mailto tag in the user line. I'll be grumbling and whining more, l8r. |

Wait, what was the point of having a username if the damn thing insists on putting my full name up there? I feel like I've been stripped of something. |

Yeah I know, but the buttons there are too small! I.e. below message, handy big buttons, but jump around every message. Above message, handily placed buttons, but microsized! |

Just to note, Stephen, that after having registered for the new UKD a Jiglu confirmation message/request sent to me was marked as 'Junk' by Hotmail. |

There are smaller buttons there too! With arrows on... It fooled me a bit the first few times too. DJ |

An edit function would be cool, so you can correct mistakes after you've hit send. |

Been working on a few ideas for the banner. Do you want to keep the logo? And if so do you have a version without the background? Justin |

I know – I wanted Martin Thomas too!! Anyway, good work Stephen, finally got on here, will take a while to have time to look around. But I like blue buttons, so big thumbs up so far. |

No, these were all in the knowledge section of the old site but you had to click on one of the topics to find them before so I'm not sure everyone found them. |
Stephen Hebditch | 05 July 2009 20:12 |

It's only if you've added a member profile that you appear – some people prefer to hide so it lets them do so. |
Stephen Hebditch | 05 July 2009 20:11 |

I have no intention of changing the moderation style and anyone contributing to UKD before has no reason to be concerned about the TOS changing anything. |
Stephen Hebditch | 05 July 2009 20:08 |

I've just noticed the knowledge section seems massively expanded – did you go through some of the old content to pull out useful stuff? must have took you ages! |
Marc D | 05 July 2009 14:42 |

One thing I noticed was the member page only seems to list yourself – not sure if thats a bug? thought you might want to know. |

the new site looks great, stephen. thank you for your hard work and continued investment in this community. its been said before by many people, but this site has been a big part of my life over... |

I'll see what I can come up with. Justin |

FWIW it's the first TOS i've looked through for a long time just because of those two first paragraphs. Congratulations on Jiglu btw. |

Its intention is that if you give permission to someone else to use your account then you are responsible for what they post. |

"Andy" too. Ah well, always hated that name :) I have a question about the terms of service. |
