Darren Emerson was once subscribed to UKD.
Tomato are heavily linked with Underworld. Tomato made an advert for the Telegraph, which used an Underworld tune. This was at the time just before the Criminal Justice Bill became an act and the Telegraph were actively supporting the bill. This is the bill that has taken away many rights with regards to protest and partying and ludicrously tried to single out techno as a target using the description of music with "repetitive beats".
Some people on UKD said that Underworld were selling out the cause by letting their tune be used for an advert for a paper that was actively trying to damage our dance culture. Darren refused to see it as seriously as some UKD members who refused to let it go, and so he left.
