Nice one Marc, Sweden is lovely this time of year.

Swine-Air (Ryanair)is the cheapest and LEAST reliable way of getting to
Sweden. I cannot warn you enough about their mind-fuck attitude to
customers. The bus trip from Skavsta to Stockholm takes nearly 2 hrs. If
you fly SAS or BM into Arlanda you can get a train into town in 30mins.

Costs:
Booze is at LEAST twice as expensive as in the UK (spirits are the most
heavily taxed) , Taxi's are OK ( over long distances they get VERY
expensive - T-Bahn, bus or train are a far better option)

Food is reasonable in Stockholm and hotels vary - best look them up on
the net.
Where are you playing? Are the organisers expecting a big crowd?

Also, beware of the "RAVE" police, they will enter a club (plainclothes)
and reef people of the dancefloor if they look over-refreshed - The law
is that if you have anything in your bloodstream, you can be done for
"possession" - It is horrific to see a punter pinned up against a wall
by two cops as they shine a torch in his face to see if his pupils are
dialated. (various districts are better/worse for this kind of
behavious - The Nacha region of Stockholm was the worst)

Warnings aside, I'm certain you will have a great time there, I did.

Regards,

Dermott
