hmm. saw a preview of this last night and, well, what a bizarre film.
it's like soderbergh and his a-list actor mates took 50 mill from a
hollywood studio, blew most of it by larging it in amsterdam with david
holmes then thought, "shit, we'd better make a movie - quick!" and so
knocked this together with a handy cam brad pitt had bought in duty
free, making the story up as they went along.
it has it's moments. the retro-style department had fun, holmes puts
together another hip soundtrack, soderbergh shoots some clever angles
and the editor cuts it up like the scratch pervertz, but at the end of
the day it's a dumbed down modern hollywood flick by numbers.
