hopefully nothing particularly spoilery in this. went to see farenheit
911 yesterday. despite the fact that i had seriously mixed feelings
about it beforehand, it is an absolute must-see film. in moments
brutally violent, in moments incredibly revealing, in moments
frustratingly grandstanding, but the thing as a whole is fantastic, and
perfectly aimed.
it needs people to go out and see it as much as possible, and keep it
rolling on the big screen.
things i liked: dissection of the election (even though old news - some
new stuff i wasn't aware of), brutal expose of the real administration
attitude to the soldiers, their families, the injured veterans, real
americans (who you would expect to support the war) speaking out and
saying it isn't so.
things i didn't like: too much handwaving allegations about saudi arabia.
it was worth it just alone for slo-mo pics of bush and his crew looking
fucking stupid in a variety of situations. go see it, soon...
