Ah Ha! - Didn't know about the other s/w. I was of the opinion that you
were stuck with one Master PC and the MP3s stored ONLY on that machine -
thanks Steve.

Methinks a pattern is emerging

Many thanks to all who contributed to this thread, especially the

I have a 60GB Nomad Zen Extra which is pretty cool. You can get them from Amazon.co.uk or if you've got more time get it from abroad.

Cheaper than the Ipod and easier to move files to and from the computer (not sure whether you can move files from and Ipod TO a computer).

I heard Archos have some good shit. Not sure but I think they have one which you can actually edit track names and stuff actually on the player.

check out nomadness.net

The best would be to get one which can record. Nomad used to do a CD shaped one at 40gb which could record. proper good!

I have a 30gig Zen Xtra. It's great, had it for about half a year and not had any problems with it and it's more or less in continous use. About 12 hours battery life and I managed to get mine for 150 quid.

I now have a 6gb ipod mini. Yes, I am a sellout. But it a bit of techno sex, really. About a 3rd the size of my old Zen, light as a feather and iTunes/syncing ROCKS.
