Drexciya

Um, not sure if I'm grabbing the wrong end of the stick here but Drexciya is nothing to do with Atkins/Saunderson.

Um, not sure if I'm grabbing the wrong end of the stick here but
Drexciya is nothing to do with Atkins/Saunderson. Sadly the man behind
Drexciya, James Stinson, passed away not long ago, but left behind a
vast catalogue of fantastic music on labels like Underground Resistance,
Warp, Rephlex, Tresor and Clone.

James was also behind projects such as The Other People Place,
Transllusion, Shifted Phases and Lab Rab XL; his sometime Drexciya
partner Gerald Donald is still active and behind Dopplereffekt, Der
Zyklus, Japanese Telecom, Arpanet and many more. Between them I'd say
they're undoubtedly the most important and influential producers in
modern electro.

My personal Drexciya faves are The Journey Home on Warp, and Aquatic
Invasion on UR, plus The Other People Place album on Warp. And there's
no shortage of other brilliant tracks to discover, they are/were
incredibly prolific...
