nero will only do it if the original dvd will fit onto a single layer
dvd (<4.5Gb) or if you have a dual layer dvd recorder and a dual layer
disc (which costs £6-£10)

if you want to get a full feature lenth movie onto a cheaper single
layer dvdr then you need something like dvd shrink (which i've only just
found from following someones earlier link to smartripper)
