real scheduler attempts to access the net automatically (at least it did
on my machine). i couldnt find a way to turn it off in the program so i
ran (start/run/msconfig) msconfig, went to the startup tab and
deselected the scheduler so it wouldnt run when i booted up windows.
seems to have worked.

looks like teefer is part of sygate.

i suggest downloading adaware, spybot, rebooting in safe mode and
running them all.
