With respect, single user recommendations are notoriously unreliable,
otherwise how would twats like tiscali (and BTopenworld) still be in the
ISP business...

This site is an excellent (independant) resource and I would recommend
it to anyone thinking of taking the plunge and adding 23 odd quid a
month to their outgoings: http://www.adslguide.org.uk/

Just click on the 'compare' link in the left hand tool bar and you can
compare the actual user ratings of whichever company you're pondering.

I'm not going to recommend the ISP I use as I don't want
jonny-come-latelys fucking with my bandwidth (joke!) but Nildram have
come out brilliantly in the comparisons I have done in the last year!
