How do events get in the calendar?

An event can be added to the calendar in two different ways. You can click the Add button on the page to add one in manually. Messages from discussions are also scanned and if they contain a date in the near future will also be included in the calendar.

How can I tell people I will be at an event?

If you click the Attend button at the bottom of each event page you will be able to add your name and a short comment to the event page to let other people know that you will be there. If you change your mind, click the Attend button again and then the Delete button to remove yourself from the list.

Why do some events appear more than once?

When an event is added from a discussions message some basic checks are done to see if it is the same as an existing event. However, this is not very sophisticated at present so sometimes an event will appear more than once. It is hoped to improved this in the future.

Is it possible to delete an event?

If an event has appeared wrongly and you would like it deleted, please contact admin@uk-dance.org with the name of the event in the calendar and the reason why. All events will of course be automatically removed once they are no longer relevant.
