Hadn't heard of em but Google is friendly with these sorts of things:

http://www.continuumbooks.com/books/detail.aspx?BookId=121828&SearchType=Basic

and

Slightly rockist perhaps. But interesting...

yeah most are gonna be outside of my limited tastes ;0) but there are a fair few there niggling my desire to spend (assuming they're good) esp. Stone Roses, Joy Division, DJ Shadow, Prince, Beatles, Beastie Boys, Stevie Wonder, Public Enemy...

whole list here: (with quite a few underneath yet to come... many interesting albums there...)

"After the second chorus the track lifts, in various ways. Harmonically, there’s a key change of sorts (the sheet music charmingly follows the convention of preparing the reader for the new key signature), from E minor to B minor"

Do Girlschool pop up at any point?

i read the bowie "low" book and the beastie's "pauls boutique" one. both were good reads, if you're a big enough music fan to be interested by the sound of the series you'll probably dig them. i'd like to read a few more actually!
