LOL – that's another part of it especially for airport geeks like me –
there's something strangely appealing about 3 letter airport acronyms,
they become oddly evocative. GLA is clubbing and sessions, EDI is
drinking, stairs and closes, and countryside. FKT means it's work, AMS
means it's culture, CDG means you'll be taxiing all week. LHR means
moodiness sir, PIK and SNN mean your transatlantic bacon is getting
saved. SNA means sun and shops, SJC means foggy mountains and parking.
LAX means smog and 4-dimensional motorways, ORD means big shoulders and
wind-blown shoreline.I know most of those :)
Perils of travel :) - SJC of course is surfing - not my inexplicable 'parking'. I blame kids terrorising my neighbourhood, plus having to scare a crowd of pushy and threatening neds off from my house at the weekend for the brainrot.
Anyway - after about 10 listens to the lot, vinyl ordered. First music purchase in about 6 months, tough budgeting times - and first bd purchase ever, I think. Looking forward to it!
cheers,
dave
