LOL - that's another part of it especially for airport geeks like me - there's something strangely appealing about 3 letter airport acronyms, they become oddly evocative.  GLA is clubbing and sessions, EDI is drinking, stairs and closes, and countryside.  FKT means it's work, AMS means it's culture, CDG means you'll be taxiing all week.  LHR means moodiness sir, PIK and SNN mean your transatlantic bacon is getting saved.  SNA means sun and shops, SJC means foggy mountains and parking.  LAX means smog and 4-dimensional motorways, ORD means big shoulders and wind-blown shoreline.
