interesting text, but the track doesn't particularly do it for me. not in the way, say, love can't turn around does
My brother bought me a copy of The House Sound of Chicago Vol I for my 14th party. It had Jack your body, Move your body (The House Music Anthem), Mystery of Love, Like this etc etc.
For some reason 'Mystery of Love' always stood out for me. It sounded other wordly. I am not really a fan of Robert Owens vocals but on this track they sound sooo right.
I could quite easily do without ever hearing 'Move your body' again but I still have a place in my heart for 'Love can't trun around'.
The 'Dub can't trun around' (no pun dub :-) ) is my fave mix. For a dub it contains a shit load of vocals. Daryll Pandy just goes mad from about 4:03. Camp as a row if tents. Love it.
I also remember them doing it on TOTP. Farley stood at the back on his keyboards and Darrly Pandy in a blue sequin suit, rolling around on the floor screaming his lungs off and throwing his shoes into the audience.
H.O.U.S.E as fuck :-) and my first real intorduction into black Amreican gay club culture.
