What a funny question! Are you implying that some sort of spurious ego validation is more important to me than watching people I know and love, let alone those I don't, starve and freeze?

I'd like to think we're sensible enough to rewrite the financial rule book en mass but previous experience suggests otherwise.  For sure, China has a tiger by the tail at the moment, a synbiotic parasitic relationship if ever I saw one.
