BTW, did you catch Charlie Brookers Gameswipe on BBC4? I don't if it was a repeat or not, but nevertheless, it was a compelling potted history of video games since year zero and for people of our generation a neat parallel history of growing up in the video age. Well worth a butchers hook on iPlayer.
Yes, I did, I'm a big fan of Brookers, we gush about his stuff (well apart from that c4 quiz) on sonicsring all the time. Was also good to see friends of the show Fat Rab and Fat Ryan from Consolevania/Videogaiden back on telly. Fat Rab will be starring in his own sitcom on BBC1 Scotland in the new year called Burnistoun. Also TEAM! member Limmy, with Limmy's Show!
I thought the show could have been more like Screenwipe. You would never see Charlie explain what a sitcom or a serialised drama was. I would have preferred more of the guests. Dara O Brien was particularly insightful, and I LOLd at aforementioned TEAM!. Do more bits like that along with more reviews (a tentpole release an an obscure gem would be great) and I'd definitely watch another. TBH I'm being picky, I loved it.
