Going out for a rave-up at the T-Bar tonight will be avin it to Dub's
live set to celebrate kicking ass in my exams. 2 years down, 2 to go :-)

What did you think of the new T -Bar? I was there a couple of Saturdays
ago for a Freak & Chic night.

not much tbh.. they only had the upstairs open last night so I didn't see the downstairs but they need to do something with the décor upstairs, like, get some. Drinks were quite pricey unless you had cocktails, so we did.

Dub's set was great!

Wasn't really the night to get on it though so I've still got a night out up my sleeve :-)

I like the new place. The old T-bar always felt far too large to me. The
upstairs/chill bit is good and the down stairs and good and dark.

it was a big space but the new one is quite out of the way so I wonder if it can survive without all the passing punters like there was in Shoreditch,

They have a funktion 1 but I always fel that can hinder a venue. Unless
you have a decent sound engineer on site the music can always sound a
wee bit too muffled .

it's probably some sorta clubbing blasphemy but I do find Funktion 1 systems to sound a bit boxey on the low-end.. apart from Plastic People where you're nice and enclosed and as you say, it's set up/engineered well.

NP: Recloose "Perfect Timing" album from last year.
