I have a question about the terms of service.
"Also, do not try to sue us, because you are responsible for what you
post, for what you allow others to post"Its intention is that if you give permission to someone else to use your
account then you are responsible for what they post. You have no
liability for anything else being written by other people using their
own accounts. The wording could be improved, I admit.
the new site looks great, stephen. thank you for your hard work and continued investment in this community. its been said before by many people, but this site has been a big part of my life over the last ten years.
the only thing i wasn't keen on is the passive aggressive tone of the terms of service. whilst i'm against "nasty things" and "nasty people" i'm not sure i like the prospect of this site being more heavily modded than before. modded boards don't have less flamewars and chaos in my experience. in fact mod decisions sometimes trigger flamewars and resentment. one of the things that is very important to me about ukd is the self moderation. thats not going to change, is it?
